This is without a doubt the loveliest, most thoughtfully curated toy store that I have ever been to. We were visiting Portland and stopped here based on Google reviews. It was well worth the trip. The owner was really kind, and mentioned that although she doesn’t have an online store, she does sales via Instagram and phone and can ship. It was just a lovely experience. We’ll be back every time we’re in Portland. It’s well worth anyones time to visit.

Fantastic toy selection. The owner (?) is super nice and knowledgeable. Great play area in front where it’s actually ok for your kid to hang out and play (unlike other kids stores I’ve been to). Really good music playlist in the store too. One of the best kids stores I’ve been to.

Excellent toy store that focuses on the kid. There's a cute play area that takes up half the store and has plenty to keep kids engaged. The toys are unique and the organization is done well. I was particularly impressed with the excellent gift wrapping service and appreciated how nice the retail associate was.

What a treasure-trove of quality and wonder! This store is amazing. Not only that, but the shopkeeper was very patient and friendly with us and my son who had a challenge deciding what to spend his money on. She helped him understand all the toys and decide what he wanted. She even gave us a special gift when we left. What a fun and amazing time.

SpielWerk Toys has been our family’s go-to toy store for over 8 years. Stacee continuously curates an amazing collection of thoughtful, intentional, open ended toys that will grow with your child. You could spend hours perusing everything - indoor, outdoor, pretend play, dolls, games and puzzles, books, baby toys, kitchen music, art, science, education, a large selection of beautiful heirloom wooden toys, etc. Stacee is always very helpful in recommending toys based off the child’s age and interests. The layout of the store always has you always finding new treasures and the play space keeps little ones entertained while you shop.

Great selection and a lot of the brands I already buy, but the layout is TERRIBLE. Customers must go up a small set of stairs to get to the purchasing floor. Forget about taking your stroller (even though their baby and toddler offerings are great) and I guess people with mobility issues just shouldn't go there.
