I had my annual mammogram and breast ultrasound this week - the technicians that assisted me were both professional and caring. I had the need to return a few days later for some follow up and the same lovely/thoughtful technician did my repeat mammogram. From the front office staff to the technicians, a great experience. Thank you!

This was one of the worst experiences I've had with a radiology center. I usually use various Lenox Hill Radiology centers, but they had about a month's wait for an appointment and I've been in pain so I decided to book with NYU. You have to call to book and when you are booking, they let you know that you have to upload your prescriptions 24 hours in advance or they will cancel your appointment. I uploaded my prescriptions 48 hours in advance.

When I got to my appointment (after having fasted all day and with a full bladder- all for my sonogram appointments) I went to the front desk to check-in and they said they couldn't- I had to check in at a digital kiosk. The kiosk wouldn't let me complete check-in without paying $1000 upfront, which was baffling to me because these procedures are covered by my insurance and typically you wait to see what insurance will cover and then you pay the difference- not pay for the whole procedure up front. I went back to the front desk to check-in to let them know that I wouldn't pay that up front and that my insurance information was wrong, and they said I should "go speak to billing" but that they would check me in, in the meantime.

A few minutes later they let me know that they can't accept my prescriptions because they are missing my birth date and that I had to try to get a new prescription from my doctor (who was not in the office that day). I asked them what the point of requiring uploading the prescription ahead of time was if they weren't going to verify it before hand and they said "we don't have anybody who looks at those". I also couldn't believe they would have charged me that $1000 without verifying they could actually do my procedure that day. Throughout it all, I felt like they were a bit abrupt and unhelpful.

I just decided to leave, very upset that I didn't get the sonograms I so desperately need, and a little while after I left they called me back to let me know that they definitely need to cancel my appointments because the sonogram prescription also doesn't have the word "complete" on it. So just to rub salt in the wound?!
I walked right over to Lenox Hill and they said "they'd never heard of such requirements" and made me an appointment on the spot. Now I know why NYU didn't have a wait for an appointment.

After having signed in on July 12 for a scheduled Dexa bone density scan, the technician, when learning that I have an implanted loop recorder, informed me that their scanner interferes with implanted cardiac devices. She asked if I wanted to assume the risk of malfunction of my loop recorder by having the test. Not being a radiologist and ignoring the technical aspects of the machine, I decided not to undergo the test until I learned more about the mechanism of Dexa bone scanning. I requested, but was not given, a written statement outlining the risks of Dexa bone density scanning.
My brief research of the subject revealed that the procedure does not interfere with implanted electronic devices.

Had a bad experience at breast imaging center. Imagine finding out there is a mass in your breast and the technician performing the sonogram is rough and unfriendly. I was literally in tears and terrified. Not once did she even give eye contact or even say hello

Excellent, clean office. Because I didn't see this information anywhere online: No, you don't have to get into that dreadful gown there to do the MRI (as long as your clothes don't have any metal on them). Yes, they play music for you while you get a MRI scan done. Yes, they have large/wide MRIs.

I just had the weirdest experience with the woman who answered the phone. She was rude and didn’t want to schedule an appointment ..
