If I could give negative stats I would! Dr. Belson doesn't like to be held accountable for things that she says and does. She referred my mom to a cardio dr and everytime we go she says my mom needs 1 because her blood pressure. I tell her she referred my mom to 1 and we have been and that she is not concerned, that all her tests and blood pressure is fine. Dr. Belson upped her RX after she keeps referring her to different doctors when my mom brings up a concern. Congestion-Dr. Belson says go to ENT
Nausea-Dr. Belson said go to GI
But then wants to play God so she changes her BP RX even tho the Specialist says it's ok where it is. My mom's BP is only high when we go to see Dr. Belson. Her BP her other 4 visits a week with home health are fine.
She changed my mom's vit D RX from 1x every 3 months to 1x a week. No blood work done before the change to validate it. When my mom asked Dr. Belson said that "all her other patients that are on it are on it 1x a week so she figured the script was wrong." Then later in the appointment she said she didn't change it that it must have gotten changed when we switched over. Except that my mom has been seeing her for almost 2 years and the RX just got changed in March. When I asked her about it and pointed out the cardio issue she said I was rude. If sticking up for my mom and questioning her care is rude...ok I'll be rude. Better then losing my mother to incompetence! Do NOT go to this doctor!!

Very disappointed with the way her front office /provider behaved. My daughter made an appt 6 months in advance an needs help. She moved her schedule to allow for this appt and I did too and our family adjusted our schedules . My daughter could not find parking and was confused because of construction and was 2 min late. I arrived ten minutes before appt to tell them she was on her way. They called the dr and cancelled the appt. It is not always the pt's fault and some understanding would be in order. I work for the same company as an RN and I would never turn a pt away for issues. She was in the building by 8:10 and wasn't sure where to go as she have never been there before and so arrive in the actual office at 8:12 and they cancelled the appt. I was referred to this provider from one of her colleagues at SCL/ NJH (MD)and now I feel rejected for my daughter who again is without a PCP. Thank you for not considering the circumstances.

Dr. Belson's office/ team makes going to the doctor feel more like a facial or fancy medical spa appointment. It is pretty easy to schedule an appointment once you are a patient, and Dr. Belson will do virtual appointments where appropriate. She is really friendly and caring - I appreciate that she listens to me, takes my concerns seriously, and works in partnership with me as a provider. All (most?) lab work is done in a private room in the same office space and both phlebotomists I have worked with have been extremely gentle and good at finding veins.

I don't think I have ever remembered my primary care doctor's name before but I have remembered Dr. Belson from our first appointment and would definitely recommend her to my friends! This is a great office for women and LGBTQIA+ individuals - they are inclusive and welcoming!

There isn't a way to leave a review within SCL, even though this office has over 200 reviews. I went in for a test and came out with results for another test that I did not request. They are not accepting the blame for doing the wrong test. They are asking me to come in again to pay for another visit and testing for something that I already asked for. There is also no way to speak to them directly. You have to call into the hospital and speak to someone who knows absolutely nothing about your care. And then maybe someone will respond to you. I've worked in healthcare and this is unacceptable.

I got denied care from this Doctor because her office neglected to tell me they are located in a new building and did not update the location in google maps. I arrived at the old building EARLY but after having to walk to the new building I ended up being 4 minutes late to my appointment. This doctor absolutely refused to see me for my depression and anxiety and told me to reschedule. I put in the appointment notes what my appointment was for so she knew what I was dealing with. I thought doctor’s were supposed to care about people? They even have a quote in their office that says “…what choices are you going to make today to make a difference in other’s lives”. That’s a good question for this doctor. I thought doctors became doctors to make a difference in other’s lives? Don’t post a quote your office clearly disregards.

Not impressed. Took my daughter to an appointment with Dr. Belson for a physical and health concerns. Dr. Belson ignored my concerns, “nixed the physical”, and did a Covid PCR test all because my daughter had a stuffy nose. Results of the PCR were negative, my daughter just has allergies. It was a complete waste of time, and her tone was condescending. We will not be returning and will find a new doctor instead.

Dr. Belson and her team are incredibly caring and thorough. I feel like as much time is taken as needed to address all of my questions and things are explained very clearly.
