I've been seeing Dr. Mays for six years and she is, no doubt, the best. She's very caring, compassionate, and takes time to listen to her patients. She's not only extremely knowledgeable but abundantly patient. My daughter sees Kelly Bell, the PA, and loves her. The other staff in the office are always welcoming and professional as well.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr Mays for 5 years and love her. She is compassionate, understanding, explains things well and really takes her time with her patients. Dr Mays is not accepting new patients except to see her nurse practitioner who is also very nice and really wants to get to know the patients she treats. So those that say they never saw Dr Mays that’s the reason and I’m sure when they made the appointment they were told that Dr Mays isn’t accepting new patients but they were welcome to see Kelly, the nurse practitioner. The staff is great, especially Julie the gal at the front desk. She almost always answers the phone and on the rare occasion that a call goes to voicemail she calls back within a 1/2 hour. She works hard to find a solution to any problem you may have. She is really a gem and more doctors offices should have someone like her. These negative reviews are ridiculous.

Dr. Mays was responsible for my finding my breast cancer before it got worse. Both Dr Mays and her P.A. Kelly are wonderful, caring people and are the reason why I traveled 40 minutes for the past 8 years of the 10 years that I've been Dr. Mays' patient to see them. I am devastated by an email I just received that she is closing her practice. I will also miss wonderful Julie, who always had a smile on her face. You could always depend on her help. What a loss...

Dr. Mayes has a great PA who worked with me and quickly assessed my needs with regard to my condition and what affects me.. For the first time I have felt like a medical practice has seen me as a whole person and not just a condition. I have not seen Dr. Mayes, but she has a competent and compassionate PA and staff working for her. The only thing I might suggest is that the follow up to phone messages needs to be timely to alleviate patient concerns. .

She closes her practice without notice to patients. My mom who is 90 received no notice in the mail or by call. I logged into her account portal on line & saw a notice that Dr. Mays closed her practice. How many elderly ppl have access to a computer ? So then I’m told if I want medical records for our new primary doc the cost is $55. Thanks for nothing Dr. Mays.

Dr. Mays is a fabulous doctor but her business sense is lacking. Very limited hours and no flexibility. Sad to see her take this direction. Since she is no longer taking new patients, find another alternative - you have no choice.

Truly don't understand some of these reviews. I've been to doctors in several areas of the country and I truly have not had a more friendly and caring group of people as these here. I HIGHLY recommend this group and feel my healthcare is far better now. They found an issue for which I'd been struggling 10 years and other doctors missed. 5+++ stars!

This is or was my mom's doctor who I just learned is or has closed her office in Clermont, FL. I am shocked that this news came in a Patient Portal vs the mail, what if my 90 year old mom didn't have me looking after her? How many elderly patients use a computer these days & would get this very important information? I am disappointed to find out this was with no advanced notice.
