Edited: on subsequent visits to Dr. Rudder, I found her to be abrasive, rude and even spiteful. I have been in pain management most of my adult life and I do not expect any certain medications and I do not, and have never, abused my medications. Dr. Rudder treated me like I did, even though she only saw me a total of 3 times. She told me that my cervical (neck) MRI showed no issues when there are severe issues, including cord impingement, which can be dangerous. She even called other doctors I see (for unrelated issues) to ask them not to prescribe me any medication. Luckily, they ignored her and did so anyway. She black balled me with other pain doctors in the area, out of nothing but spite because I no longer wanted to be in her care. A close friend of mine was sent, by her, for an MRI, even though he had an implanted tens unit (that SHE ordered!) If the MRI tech hadn't caught it at the last minute, it would have been ripped from inside his body.

The wait for an appointment was anywhere from 60 - 90 minutes in the waiting room and another 30 in the exam room. The staff are very rude and do not answer the telephone. I waited on hold for an hour and no one ever picked up. I waited 24 hours for a call back on an urgent issue and then waited 3 hours to see the doctor on a work-in appointment. They also billed Cigna for an ultrasound guided injection when the ultrasound was never used that day.

A pain management doctor that refuses to manage pain. Move on to the next listing, this is not the doctor you want to see.

Dr. Rudder has gotten me through the most difficult health situations I have been through including several surgeries, and a stroke, a car accident, and stood by me and listened, which most doctors don't take the time to do any more. Our family is so grateful to have found her, if I could give her a 10 rating, I would, she is the best! I have been seeing her for years and I will never change doctors.

I've been seeing Dr. Rudder for my pain management for several years now and couldn't be happier with the care provided by her and her staff. Being a pain management doctor is not easy with the current monitoring by medical and governmental offices and officers. dosage to weight ratios, confirmation of need, being able to tell who really is sick and who is just looking for a fix has to be exhausting. I know when I first came to Dr. Rudder I had been seeing a doctor that was practicing at Baylor hospital in downtown Dallas. I had to complete a month long pain management treatment and clinic that focused on using biorhythm and meditative methods to manage pain. I suffer from acute gout attacks and psoriatic arthritis, along with several other auto-immune ailments, and biorhythm and meditation simply will not help with my pain. I need medication and my previous doctor would NOT prescribe anything, not even Tylenol or Advil. When left untreated i would usually end up in the ER at Baylor in Waxahachie getting shots of pain medication and steroids to help and this would happen 2, maybe 3, times a month. The pain was simply unbearable. Since I have been going to Dr. Rudder I haven't been back to the ER for that kind of treatment since. My pain is managed with medication and I am able to live a somewhat normal life. I still have pain but it is pain i can handle. Dr. Rudder is a God send as far as I am concerned. She's honest and up front about what she can and, especially, what she CANNOT do. We are in the process of reducing my dosages now, which is wonderful! All this is possible because I found a doctor with the understanding and patience and communication skills to get my pain under control. If you truly need a "pain management" doctor for chronic pain I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Rudder. My life changed the day I walked into her office in Red Oak, TX. God bless all those who suffer from chronic pain and go see Dr. Rudder, she will find a way to help, I am sure of it.

Her staff is extremely rude and condescending. They have no compassion for the pain patients are going through. They refuse to truly listen to you...one girl kept repeating the same phrase over and over while I was trying to tell her what my insurance said and simply would not listen...a 5 yr old does that, not a mature adult. Theres no person who actually answers the phones, they screen them through automated crud and decide who to answer for and not to answer for. You can see through their almost mirrored front window and EVERY visit I have watched them completely ignore more standing there, checking their cell phones or laughing. Dr. Rudder is nice but doesn't seem to actually care too much about the patient she's seeing, she just wants to pack in as many patients possible for as much moneys as she can. I'm stuck with them because of where I live and the meds I need but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Her staff has treated me like complete crap since I started going there.
