I have a 2016 Sierra1500 V8 5.3 with a 6speed 6L80 transmission. I had a check engine and would not shift right at all.

C&S Transmissions is the place to take your vehicle. Carlos and Carlos Jr will take care of you.

When I got there, the owner Carlos was outside. I explained breifly what was going on and he told me "Let's go for a ride". I explained everything that happened. Check engine light, rough shifting, would take 2 to 3 sec to catch reverse, would Rev up randomly and even could hear a grinding noise from time to time. He explained to me everything that needed to be changed and addressed.

While I was in the office getting the cost written up. I handed over the keys to Carlos and by the time I stepped out the door my truck was already on the lift being worked on.
They told me it'll be ready by tomorrow. It could take up to 2 to 3 days but we'll have it ready by tomorrow.

My Trucks shifting like brand new. Shifting amazing as well as downshifting when slowing down and coming to a stop.

Also they offer a high performance ball bearing upgrade instead of the plastic stock dealership part for the torque converter. Definitely worth it!

I took my 2000 Ford F250 7.3 diesel to them For a transmission rebuild I paid $4000.00 while driving it, one week later I found when you shut overdrive off, it would not decelerate. I took it back to them. They refused to fix it. After researching, I found out it’s the coast clutch solenoid or the wire to the coast clutch solenoid. The wire is fine.

This is a good starting point to get the highest quote possible. I came here based on Google reviews. I took my car in that had an oil leak and the owner didn't even look at the engine, barely checked underneath the car and said, oh yeah your going to need a new transmission. This was his offer, pay $1200 to fix the leak (with no warranty) and he told me my car was trash, he wouldn't have paid money for it and to pay $3400 for a new transmission. I said thank you and walked away. I got it fixed at another shop for $600 with warranty. The mechanic said the car is perfectly fine. I hate leaving reviews but I feel that I need to protect people from these type of businesses. Imagine someone coming in here and taking his word. You will overpay and have unnecessary inconveniences in your life. I recommend to use this place as a quote (maybe you'll catch them on a not so money hungry day) and just go to people who won't run their mouth more than your car. Lord I forgive them, bless them anyways.

I would give them a 20 star rating if I could. Carlos takes pride in his work. He asked what I used my truck for when I told him I hauled a large travel trailer he upgraded parts and showed me the parts, very satisfied.
DO NOT go to University Dodge Ram unless you want to get screwed! They charged me $2,100 analysis fee to tell me they could not fix my truck, no parts or completely new transmission, all on back order with no estimate on availability. Carlos told me he could get everything he would need, and he did.

BIG SCAM! , over the phone Carlos informed me an inspection needs to be done . I let him know the problem I was having which was My car wasn't going into drive at all ONLY REVERSE! The moment I dropped My car off He gave Me a price range from $1200 to $1500 depending on how bad My transmission is. After a couple hours He calls Me and tells Me it would be between 2600 to 2800 (No set price, which was the first red flag) then he adds , "Oh, by the way the price will change tomorrow and the days after. So there's no telling how much it may be next time!" (The second red flag)!!! Mind you, On my way to pick up the car I called and asked Him to start My car so when I get there I can just drive off (especially since he said his workers were in a rush) The moment I get back there , Carlos including his workers were literally just drinking Beer and was being very Pushy about the prices changing , I guess in hopes of Me giving him money right then and there (Money Hungry!!!Another Redflag) I literally sat in the parking lot for about an hour before driving off, instantly My car felt worst ! And wouldn't go in Drive or Reverse at all!!!! He said they put something on it , and im guessing that's what made it worst ! NEVER EVER AGAIN I wouldn't recommend their services to anyone !!!
