Ego driven host Matthew Farren.. an unqualified and dangerous person to put your trust in. Just because you attend a retreat Matthew this doesn’t suddenly make you a trained therapist. Such a shame these days the are a growning number of self proclaimed experts in a field that needs to be monitored properly before some serious damage is done. It’s not acceptable to pretend to know how to treat and care for potentially fragile and trauma survivors just to please one’s own ego. I would advise that if you are seeking professional help that you should avoid “hero’s journey retreats” as the man could not be further from being a hero. (Well.. except in his own deluded mind)

One of my friends asked me years ago:" who are you?"  When you will find out you will find yourself. I read a hundred books about living in the present moment and I still could not understand what that meant. We are so trapped living in the past and yearning for a better future that we are unable to grasp what living the present moment is. The question:"  who am I ? " drawn my attention to attend the Dyad retreat. I didn't know what to expect. The first evening I wanted to leave but something told me to be patient and wait and see. To my surprise, one of the participants shared his experiences with me and I could finally see and understand what is to live in the present moment; something shifted in my life and now I can finally see through the lenses of clarity. When you share with others with an open heart miracles occur.  Now I have been able to understand the beautiful journey called life. I am grateful for attending the Dyad retreat.

Dyad work with Matt was an incredible experience. I jumped into it after a 10 day silent meditation retreat, not really knowing what it was. My experience with the dyad work was just as intense, and equally eye opening as my 10 days prior. Matt's guidance through the process was very on point and significant. I am very grateful that I was in the right time and place to experience this. It was a very necessary part of my process. Thank you Matt!

The hero’s retreat with Mathew was beyond my expectations! I attended seeking to have a sort of “short silent retreat” The methodology that Mathew uses made my mind and ego identification stop for a nice while and I could experience joy, bliss and incredible sense of who I am during the retreat and several days after! I have a great respect for Mathew, he is so humble and such a good teacher… if I was asked if I knew a modern mystic I would say yes… I came across with Mathew!

I have done two retreats with Matt and Luke so far, and each of them helped me understand something profound and new about myself. Reconnect with my core, my nature, my soul. I see the shifts in my perspective that keeps coming long after the retreats. I go about my life, and suddenly something clicks, and I see the bigger picture more clearly. Three days in a retreat seems to me like three years of therapy. I am definitely going to continue exploring.

Mat is a great guy ! His depth and knowledge of the dyad process has really helped me to dig deeper and reveal the humility I needed to grow into the person I want to be. It’s a fantastic experience that I would recommend to anyone.

5 day retreat working with a partner that I’ve never seen, or talked to. Confessing my life, listening to theirs, telling anything that came into my mind at the begging, and from the bottom of my soul and spirit at the end.
While not sharing, was tough to be in silence.
And as silence finished, we all tried to go deeper and deeper, to recognize ourselves through the compassionate look from the other one. So difficult, so painful for us all, but at the same time so magical .

I found the retreat and what's on offer there a life changing event. Beautiful venues and very warm people. In terms of going into oneself and self exploration I havent come across anything that comes close to the experience I had on the retreat. For anyone reading this review, who is thinking about giving it a go, if you decide to come along make sure you complete the journey ?
