I am extremely happy to talk this place up big time. I seen it advertised online and I checked it out. In a short time I was on my way to understanding every concept of this program. They're friendly, and he walked me through the steps of doing the signature online, clarified everything as clear as water. Easiest time that I've ever had applying for what I was going for. The amount each month saved me $200 and to have a portal makes it easy to view at home or if you like you have the choice to have it on auto pay. Trust me, I was amazed and I think you will be too. I have no regrets at all.

I understood the fees (they have to make money somehow). They were up front about the fact that our credit would be destroyed for the duration of the program. What I'm not happy about is it's taken waaaaay longer than initially quoted (about 3 years). Just before the three year mark they tried to talk us into a loan to cover the rest, but the loan terms were not favorable. We continued with the regular program, but while they worked on settling some accounts, other accounts sat, and sat, and sat, and sat. They sat so long that we are now being sued by 4 of the accounts that were left to sit. The settlement offers to avoid judgements require monthly payments in excess of what we were paying on all of our accounts before we contacted the program. I am not happy and do not recommend the program unless you are absolutely out of all other options.

Total scam. I enrolled with private student loan debt. They assured me that they worked with College Avenue before. For two years I was paying $437, then $250, then $389 every 2 weeks to the dedicated savings account until I made 25% of my overall debt. I was in delinquency but they kept calling asking if I’m paying my creditors. Private student loans do not do settlements. Don’t bother. So I get an email today saying I graduated the program, because after I refinanced my loan, the residuals of the initial 6 loans were each under $500. There’s a set minimum. Because of this they could no longer settle and are just refunding me the $15k I set aside in that savings account for the last 2 years.

The only helpful thing they do is skip a payment if you ask them a full week before your next one is due. This plummeted my credit score. I would’ve been better off just paying those amounts directly to my student loans. They’re more forgiving if you just tell them directly your financial hardship. (Forbearance). So now I’m going to put that $15k as a down payment to rebuild my credit score and still have to pay about $90k afterwards. I enrolled with $50-60k in debt. Total waste of time. And if I was able to do a settlement, I would’ve had to pay a legal fee anyway. That’s the only silver lining here, at least I’m getting back all that money I gave them. I tried it, could’ve been worse. But as far as student loans, don’t bother. They can probably only settle credit card debt.

This firm is the most professional firm I’ve ever dealt with. I returned a call regarding my case and Destiny was the one who took my call. She was extremely professional and helpful in making sure I understood the next steps in my case. The call did not end until she was sure I understood everything. She was extremely patient and understanding of my work schedule conflicting with the firm’s attempts in contacting me and guided me to other avenues of communications with the firm. With a very hectic and demanding work schedule, it’s simple things like this that some of us subconsciously neglect. This firm is highly recommended.

I enrolled in a 38 month program. Roughly half way through this 38 months I receive a call from an associate claiming that I should take a loan rather than finishing the program. At this time I was dealing with a new job along with a death of a parent. I had the option to say no and continue but this was my legal team therefore I trusted them. I did not reach out to them for solution, this was presented to me as the best option. I now have a loan earning interest that I will be paying off until 2026, making the endeavor almost twice as long. I’ve reached out to try to get understanding why I would be suggested something like this, and the people I’m speaking with don’t seem to understand that a mistake has been made. Nobody will actually investigate why this was presented to me and just tell me I’ve “graduated.” I did not graduate anything until the debt no longer exists, which it would not exist at this time had I never been suggested a loan. It’s as if they decided I was no longer profitable to them so they shoveled me off to a loan company and masked it behind an opportunity for good clients or whatever friendly words were used.

I would not suggest this organization. I was linked to them through freedom debt relief and they did not relieve my debt in full, and refuse to take responsibility.

When you call in to check on your account every customer service agent tells a different story for the same question asked. I've also confirmed "settlement offers" with them and to find out they never did their part even after I sent in money to cover that offer. I would keep all my emails from this company so you can read their own lies back to them . It also took 5 months for a supervisor or team lead to return my requested call. Work with creditors on your own. This company is a joke. I forgot to add that I was told by an team lead today that Gitmeid actually decides what they think the creditors will take and then call and offer it to you without even getting an acceptance from the creditors beforehand. Joke, don't waste precious time with these thieves.

So I was referred by National Credit Debt as it was “required” by my state WHICH isn’t even New York. Anyway you are much better off dealing with creditors directly. I however, thought my only option at the time was this. Now originally, I was told 2 years for a fixed amount. It’s partially my fault for not checking my deposits/statements close enough, but they are essentially charging me 40% in fees every month instead of paying my credit cards down. I will be parting ways with them and finishing my debt myself. If they refuse to let me end the program (they told me I can cancel anytime) I will have to stop payments with my bank instead. At this point I’ve only paid one of 3 debts. But when I do the math, I’d have only $300 left to pay in my debt. Thanks to these fees!! They do NOT care about helping those in need. They care about filling their own pockets.

National Debt Relief has helped me come less stressed from bills and so easy to talk to someone if I have a problem. They care and treat you like a person and truly want to help you get out of debt. I'll recommend them to my friends and family for sure.
