The sales person was great! I can't tell you anything about the Jeep because it's been back being repaired for a defect since I bought it. Hopefully they will be able to fix it. Also within 2 days of purchase, both key fob batteries died and had to be replaced.

Car buying experience was pretty good overall. I test drove more than one car and was able to get some things cosmetically fixed on the one I chose that were damaged in getting it shipped to that location. My sales associate was very easy to work with answered my questions. They even reimbursed me for a missing owners manual in less than a week.

Where we went from five stars to three stars is really because of after sales service. I had to get some things fixed on the car. It is under their warranty. I had to make an appointment and arrived early in the morning. When making me appointment over the phone, I stress to the person that I needed loaner car and I had to get to work and could not take a full day off. They said that would not be a problem and they would know what was going on with the car within 15 minutes.

The day I got there for the visit, I was not informed of any change in that at check-in. After I waited for an hour, I asked the status of the loaner, but I was told that they don’t give loaners out unless there is four hours or more of work to be done on the car. My car needed parts ordered and would have to be brought back several weeks later to have the repairs completed. I just wish their policy on loaners was available upfront and that they were consistent.

I’d buy again. It is just a wish that their service dept was up to the caliber of their sales dept.

I had an excellent experience with Carmax. They contacted very quickly when I requested information. The staff was very courteous and friendly upon arrival. Sal, our sale consultant was great. He allowed me to test drive several vehicles because I was not sure what I wanted and help me find the exactly what I wanted at the right price. I highly recommend Sal. He was awesome. Thanks CarMax. After three attempts, I got a car I’m happy with. I waited for the first one to be shipped from another state only to find out there was a problem with the title. I waited figuring the problem would be resolved soon, but after almost 2 weeks, I heard nothing and looked elsewhere for a car. Someone finally did call me from a central office and told me that the problem with the title would not be resolved anytime soon and connected me with a sales person from the local Carmax, who texted me with some other options that I was looking for. I found one I liked and waited again for it to be shipped from out of state. I purchased it and the next day I took it to my mechanic to have him look it over. He found problems with the car which made it completely unacceptable. We took the car back the next day for a refund and as you can imagine, we weren’t happy. They seemed surprised about the condition of the car and wanted to make it right for us which I appreciated. Our sales person, Steve, did a great job in assisting us in looking for and finding us another car as quickly as he could. We did get a reduced price on this one for our trouble and the return and purchase of the new car went smoothly. Though I was satisfied with dealing with this branch of Carmax and their attention to making this right for me, I feel that cars should be better screened before they reach the sales lot, which is why I’m only giving it three stars.

I had a GREAT experience with Carmax, from beginning to end. I paid to have an SUV, (Ford Edge), shipped from out of state and was told it would take 3 weeks to arrive. It arrived 2 days early. When I test drove it, there was a noise, which did not sound mechanical, but maybe like something was loose. Since I was not going to buy the vehicle right then, to give them a chance to check and see what the issue was, they refunded the shipping fee. They checked it out and the next day I was able to return and purchase it. My salesman was Lee Forman and he was very helpful and responsive, as was EVERY single person I dealt with at Carmax. Another plus is that they do not charge all of the extra, high fees that dealerships do. Also, my vehicle was at least $5,000 cheaper than other Ford Edge's with similar features that I saw on other sites. I would definitely buy from Carmax again! ANd I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE my new vehicle!

We purchased a car for my mom on 11/6/23, she was so happy when she got the car. She only drove it 600 miles before her passing on 12/20/23. Her sales person Anne Belko was very helpful when I was trying to sell the car back. I appreciate how they handled this difficult situation & how fair they were with the purchase price buying the car back from us and returning a large portion of the warranty we purchased.
