As someone else stated in review, my first visit to the office I was made to undergo additional testing that wasn't covered which caused me to incur additional fees put of pocket. Be careful what tests they put you through and check with your ins. or they will make you pay.

However, it's worse, as Dr. Meixler Won't even reply to simple portal question stating he is too BUSY of a practitioner to reply on portal that I must schedule an office visit $$$. Actually an office visit WAS scheduled months in advance which he cancelled last minute than wouldn't answer a portal question because he is TOO BUSY?

Also, If you like a Dr. to talk down to you like a child. He would be perfect for you. Doesn't really listen well either after being patient for a few years had to seek alternative care. Soooo happy I did. Lousy Dr. IMHO

The best pulmonologist in NY state so far. I had seen other doctors in the same field but none ever gave me good treatment like I have received from Dr. Meixler.
My breathing was really bad for many years however, due to Dr. Meixler 's experience in this field, I can now breathe normally.
He is a great asset to this team and I am blessed to have him as my primary physician too.

Dr. Meixler has an impressive base of knowledge in his field of pulmonology. He, as well, has a pleasant and reassuring bedside manner. I would recommend him to any patient who desires straight answers from a pulmonologist who will take the time to explain the patient's diagnosis and treatment options in clear and concise terms. The office staff is friendly and professional. His office is a bit hard to find if one does not know the area or if the appointment is during rush hour, so make sure you give yourself enough time to get there.

I went in for an annual checkup and was charged almost $300 for additional test. I told this scam artist I only wanted what was included in the bloodwork but end up paying for an annual check up. When I asked for help from him directly he just strung me along saying he’ll take care of it but that’s not the case. I received constant messages from the WestMed office saying my balance is overdue. What was Stevens final response? Basically I’ll have to pay for it and there’s nothing he can do. Very reassuring, I’ll never go back to him and will do everything to let patients know to be careful with him. He hides behind his good guy persona but he’s just out for your money. Imagine paying almost $300 for an ANNUAL CHEKCK UP!
